1 working principles of laser
Holmium Laser is produced by pulse equipment of solid laser. Pulse equipment of solid laser is made by a kind of crystalloid (Cr: Tm: Ho: YAG) which based on Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG), mixing with Cr, Tm and Ho. The deferent wavelength is 2.1 micron which is able to be absorbed by body tissue. With the conduction of optical fibers, the wave could reach every part of pathological tissue to cauterize, freeze, vaporize and incise it.
2 the structure of the machine & working mechanism
Therapeutic apparatus is constituted by Laser, laser electrical source, control system, light-transmited system, cooling system and safeguard system. (Working mechanism, See digram 1)
Capability and Characteristic
1 When Holmium Laser with 2.1 micron wavelength irradiates body tissues, it will be absorbed quickly by the water (about 70-90%) in it. It can produce an identical & steady penetrating depth (0.4mm), and not be influenced by pigment. All of the above insure precision of operations in the fields where important organs, nerves and blood vessels are assembled, so it is safe to incise, vaporize, stanch, spall rocks and smash in precision. Therefore, whatever in precision or safty of operations are above comparion of other kinds of laser therapeutic apparatus.
2 The recycled optical fiber transmission system not only can penetrate the exterior and interior tissue, but also can do endovascular stent grafts conveniently by various tools and ready endoscopes, which will avoid operations, reduce operation charges and alleviate pains of patients.
3 The holmium laser(2.1 micron) stays at the infrared region where people could not see. So paramedics can use it without wearing coloured glasses, because the eyeshot is clear.
4 The equipment set and choose parameters with microcomputers which can show working states digitally, follow and display power automatically, and also can do safety self-checked, self-locked and instant-terminal fittings. It is convenient on operation and the capability is safe.
